Medilink West Midlands, the industry association for the life sciences and medical technology sector, will host its annual business awards on Thursday 13 February 2020. The event will bring together the life sciences, healthcare and med-tech community to celebrate the ‘best of the best’ and shine a light on the brilliance of the region.
The awards, sponsored by leading law firm Mills & Reeve, will take place at The Burlington Hotel, Birmingham and will recognise organisations that have excelled in different areas over the last 12 months.
Categories will include Start-up, Export, Delivering Innovation into Health and Care, Innovation and Outstanding Achievement.
Richard Stone, CEO at Medilink West Midlands, said: “This is our 18th year supporting the life sciences, healthcare and med-tech community and our awards are a way to showcase the regions success of high-level businesses who have demonstrated ambition, determination and positive change to healthcare.
"It’s a privilege to work amongst a world class innovation structure with effective, strong partnerships between industry, academia and the NHS which gives West Midlands businesses more opportunities for growth and development.
"I’d like to encourage as many businesses as possible to consider entering our awards, to allow us to shout about their successes and give them the recognition they deserve. Not only are they in the spotlight on the night of the awards but throughout the lead up to the Medilink UK awards in April, which is in association with Med-Tech Innovation Expo.
"Finally, can I please give thanks to our sponsors supporting the awards this year, Calthorpe Estate, West Midlands Academic Health Science Network and Mills & Reeve”.
The deadline for entries is Friday 10 January 2020.
The winners of the regional awards will go on to be shortlisted for the national Medilink UK Healthcare Business Awards. The national ceremony is set to take place at the NEC Birmingham on Wednesday 1 April 2020.
