A careers event will be held at Sandwell Council House in Oldbury on Tuesday 4 February, showcasing the wide range of jobs and apprenticeships available in Sandwell.

In Detail

The event marks National Apprenticeship Week (Monday 3 to Friday 7 February) and will have a special focus on apprenticeships.

Attendees will be able to meet current apprentices and find out what support is available to help them get a job or apprenticeship.

Councillor Danny Millard, cabinet member for skills and employment said: "Apprenticeships are a fantastic way of getting into a new career. Some people think apprenticeships are only for young people. In fact, apprenticeships are open to anyone, from any age group and background. I want as many people as possible to attend the event, so sign up now at www.sandwell.gov.uk/employmentevents.”

Sandwell Council employs apprentices of all ages and in wide range of careers, who are studying towards a wide range of qualifications including business administration, hospitality, activity instructor, horticulture and many more.

Sandwell Council also supports local businesses to employee apprentices and find the right candidates.
