Local businesses came in their droves for a chance to meet with 14 key buyers from the housing industry, where over 90 companies came to find out about the exciting developments taking shape across the Black Country and how they could be involved with supply chain opportunities.
Key speakers from the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (BCLEP), Bouygues UK and Kier Living gave detailed presentations of current and forthcoming projects and how suppliers can get involved.
In addition, local and regional housing companies met with businesses on a one-to-one basis to discuss forthcoming supply chain tenders. These included Sanctuary Group, West Midlands Combined Authority, Galliford Try Partnerships, Walsall Housing Group, Oakleaf Commercial Services and West Midlands Academic Health Science Network.
Paul Long, Director at FinditintheBlackCountry, comments: “With the Government unveiling new plans to tackle the UK’s widespread housing shortage over the coming weeks and months, which is sure to transform the housebuilding industry, we felt this was an important topic to cover. The event was a huge success and gave local businesses the chance to develop relationships and ensure they are considered for future tenders.”
