In Detail

One of the region’s leading chartered accountancy practices has launched an information hub to help local businesses overcome the issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Dudley-based, Price Pearson has unveiled its ‘Managing the impact of COVID-19’ pages, which will provide essential guidance and support for substantial private businesses and family companies across the region.

The firm, which was established over 40 years ago, has launched the information hub, to assist businesses and individuals in the Black Country and beyond, at a time of unprecedented uncertainty over what the following days and months will bring as a result of coronavirus.

Due to the rapid changing nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, the dedicated advice hub will be regularly updated in line with the Government’s daily announcements and legislation information.

There will be comprehensive advice about various schemes like the Job Retention Scheme and the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme, as well as Business Rates Holiday help in specific sectors such as the retail, leisure and hospitality industry.

David Price, Director at Price Pearson said: “In these unprecedented times all businesses, large and small, are facing enormous challenges to the way they operate.

“Businesses are about people and looking after them means seeing that they are in a position to take advantage of the business recovery that will take place once the shutdown is over.

“It’s vital that a business focusses on cash flow. Cash is king - whether it be tax deferrals, banking, personal or corporate.

"We also understand that it will affect your customer, so you will need to keep closely in touch to see what they are doing and how it will ultimately affect your business.

"We want to make sure that organisations receive the support that they desperately need. If you need to discuss your alternatives, our team is here to help.”

The accountancy firm has a strong relationship with its clients across the Midlands and a reputation for delivering excellent business, corporate finance and tax advice to businesses both large and small.

It is undertaking the range of extra work to help its new and existing clients cope during the difficult COVID-19 period.
